There are several challenges when you want to reach an audience in mainland China.

You can still host your site in China. But you will then have to do the necessary procedures to obtain an official authorization (ICP). Be careful, not even the ICP does guarantee that your site will not be blocked, it is just the authorization to host it locally. If you choose this solution, it is (very) likely that your site will suffer from high latency in other parts of the world (unless you subscribe to a CDN).

Another solution is to host your site where you want, then subscribe to a CDN that includes a specialized offer for China. You will also be required to take the necessary steps to obtain a PKI. It is a reliable but very expensive solution that big companies or multinationals, for example, would prefer.

Finally, a last solution is to use a server located near China like in Hong Kong, Japan or Singapore. And if possible with a China direct route (like CN2). That’s the solution we offer you….
